Hi AmyK88,

Here is a link to his CWGC Casualty entry: http://www.cwgc.org/find-war-dead/casualty/2135605/KENNETT,%20CHARLES%20MARSHALL

This gives his service number as 1113861 and shows his rank to be that of Gunner. He was in 137 Field Regiment, Royal Artillery.

Apologies if you already have this.

Hope this helps

Kind regards

I wonder how many of the 18,000 officers and men of the division survived Japanese imprisonment. Obviously not the subject of this Thread.

I remember a lovely man, Laurie, about 1955, who attended St Mary's church Wexham. He had been a POW of the Japanese. Always immaculately turned out in blue blazer and flannels. But he was thin and his skin was yellow.

Hi

This link may help you to find more about your chap as he died on the Hell Ship Singapore Maru of tropical malaria. Just click on the little box at the left of his name.

The Roll of Honour is from the FEPOW site, an excellent place to help you research Far East POW's. :)

Good luck.
