James Watson/Mary Beattie. Kincardineshire, Scotland 1778-1785
« on: Wednesday 11 March 15 19:08 GMT (UK) »
I'm looking for further info on a James Watson born in Garvock, Kincardineshire about 1778 and a Mary Watson, born in St Cyrus, Kincardineshire around 1785 in St cyrus. They had a daughter called Agnes Watson who married a William Bruce. I'd love to see if anyone could help me find the parents for James and Mary as I'm really at a brick wall. Any help would be greatly appreciated :/
Scott

Ancestry has some Scottish baptism records. They have the following:
James Watson bap. 23 April 1774 at Garvock, to James Watson and Margt. English
James Watson bap. 2 July 1778 at Garvock, to James Watson and Jean Milne

According to a family free posted on Ancestry, the James Watson baptised 1778 married Mary Beatie in 1802 and they had 7 children. Their daughter Agnes, born 1819, married William Bruce.

The same tree has Mary Beattie born about 1785 at St Cyrus, daughter of David Beattie and Margaret Robertson.
