Wootton Wawen was also in the Diocese of Worcester.

Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.

Many thanks both for the further information. Just noticed that, from your information Colin, the Henley-in-Arden baptism is dated 20 Sep 1800, whilst that for Pedmore is 28 Sep 1800. Perhaps we are now talking about two different child baptisms rather than two baptisms for the same child eight days apart.

I think the date is more likely to be an error of transcription. The only way to be sure is to see the original. Colin

Hi
The LDS have attached a lot of records to Pedmore in the IGI which did not take place there. I have checked the film of the parish register at The Hive and I can confirm that the baptism was not at Pedmore in that year or the surrounding years.

Best Wishes
Jack

I have only just seen your message Jack. I usually get an email notification of messages but not in this case, or I accidentally deleted it without first reading it. Many thanks for checking the film and clarifying that the entry was not at Pedmore. I very much appreciate the trouble you have gone to.
Regards,
Geoff
