Taylor family of Faversham
« on: Thursday 12 March 15 12:47 GMT (UK) »
Good afternoon
I have Edward John Taylor b1858 Faversham m1879 Faversham to Amelia Sophia Dane b1860 Faversham.
I have some queries as to children and cannot find an 1891 census for this family to verify who was around then ( I have the 1881 one with one child Emma Eliza).

Any help would be appreciated as I would like to confirm children of this couple.

I have Ellen Jane b1894 Faversham; ?? Eliza b1894; Edward George b1889; Caroline b1892; Godfrey b1894; Hilda b1899 and Edith b1902.

With many thanks

Loupy

Hi again, looking at the occupation of Edward in 1881, he could be the Edward Taylor 34 Married occ Barge Master b Faversham residing at Gloucester Street, Lambeth in 1891
Census ref RG12/392/151/45

Or even the same man, aged 34 Married b Faversham part of a 2 man crew of the "Economy" residing Faversham
Census ref RG12/714/152/1

Hello there
Thank you all for prompt replies.

Yes, I have Edward Taylor b1858 on the 1891 census on the Vessel "Economy" but cannot find Amelia etc.  Did one of you have Amelia and some children in 1891??  If so please can I have info!

Edward is again on Vessel "Sarah and Eliza" in 1901, whilst rest of family are in Faversham.
1911 they are all in Minster, Kent by which time Edward is a General Carrier.

With many thanks

Loupy

It's the one that Keyboard found - I posted it below.  She is down as Taylor but it has been transcribed along with the family before it under Eldridge.

Amelia Taylor 31
Emma 11
Ellen 8
Eliza 6
Edward 1

Add looks like 2ways Faversham  :)
