1861 Census Kent County Lunatic Asylum
« on: Sunday 15 March 15 12:03 GMT (UK) »
Hello all,

Does anybody know if there's a census for the Kent County Lunatic Asylum for 1861? I've been trawling around on Ancestry for a couple of hours and can't seem to find anything under that name or my ancestors name.

I have a possible admission record which suggests that he was there in 1861 and a possible burial record for Maidstone in 1864, I'm just looking to tie the three together.

His name was Elias Brooks/Brookes 1807 to 1864?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

David

Try looking under just under his initials and age plus the place he would be living.   Most patients in Asylums were just shown by their initials

Edit -this should take you to one EB in the Kent Asylum Piece 501 Folio 111 Page  9
Listed as 51 married and a labourer

Another EB 55 Married and a pensioner Piece 501 Folio 112 Page 11

Thank you ladies,

I'll go for the 1810 one as he's described as a labouer on the others.
