North Tidworth, Overton areas, unknown estate building.
« on: Monday 16 March 15 21:48 GMT (UK) »
Hi,

I have been loaned some old photographs. The one attached is alleged to be part of an estate where one of my ancestors worked. It could be part of an estate in the North Tidworth, Overton areas, but there again, it may not. Judging by the clothing I would guess that the photo was taken around 1900.

Any of you sleuths out there recognise it?

Thanks
MM

No, it's not just you. MM has forgotten to include the photograph/attachment.  :)

I wonder if this might be better as a single post on this board?

http://www.rootschat.com/forum/handwriting-deciphering-recognition/

with the possible locations mentioned.  There are often queries about locations on that board.  At the moment, you have it on three boards: here (Wiltshire), Surrey and Hampshire!

It might take longer than 24 hours for the right person to light upon it.

Hi,

Well, being a comparative novice at any type of forum protocol, I just did what I thought seemed logical. However, if you think that my posts should be in a single location I will unhesitatingly follow your recommendation.

How do I shift them or do I repost?

Tks

No worries - I was just thinking of the best place for the greatest exposure and potential help.  :)

Would you like to repost on that board, mentioning the possible locations that it might be.

I can lock the original posts and ask people to reply with any information on your new post.  Let's hope that someone might be able to help.  :)

Hi again,

I will repost as you suggest and would be grateful if you could lock and redirect any answers.

Thanks
