Parish registers should give address & Occ

Was Angelina Sophia illegit???

I think James and Mary J on 1881 census are brother & sister and are unmarried -so maybe the children are Mary J's?

Yes, Angelina Sophia, along with her sister Harriet and brother Charles were all illegitimate and I believe they all had different fathers too.  Names are Harriet Elizabeth Nailer Churchouse, Charles John Taylor Churchouse and Angelina Sophia Patterson Churchouse.  Mother was Mary Jane Churchouse.  I have Sophie's birth certificate plus 2 marriage certificates, one with Albert George Picken (who I would love to find - another story there) and the other with Walter Birmingham.  She is listed as a widow on both marriage certificates.  Her birth certificate lists only the mother.

Thank you Keyboard86, that is correct.  Can I ask, what do you mean by "on my site"?

:) My first choice site is not Anc** on the 1891 if the correct young lady she is Phoff Churchhouse b 1880 Weymouth

OK, now I understand :)  Yes, Phoff is actually Sophie.  I don't know if that is what they called her or not.  My Mom said she was known as Suky or Sophie.

Phoff  is  the  transcription     for  her  in 1891 ,   (on Ancestry) the image     looks  like  Sophy to   me ,

I checked the Frank Brooks that married Harriet Lawrence and I suspect that this is the right guy.  Since I haven't been able to find a marriage for him and Sophie, I wonder if, when he was stationed in Portland, he lived with her, fathered 2 children, 1 died in infancy, and then left her.  I haven't found a death for him yet.  If this is him, poor Sophie.  That is 2 men that used and abused her :(
