holy trinity exeter
« on: Wednesday 18 March 15 03:49 GMT (UK) »
Hello , I wonder if someone could tell me please when the last burials/internments took place at Holy Trinity Cemetery Exeter . I thought I had read somewhere it was 1903 but have seen a page on FindMyPast giving "internments " in 1917.
Any advice much appreciated , thank you .
Regards
Alan

This is usually my first port of call:
http://genuki.cs.ncl.ac.uk/DEV/Exeter/HolyTrinity/index.html

Which lead me to:
http://www.devonfhs.org.uk/parishbooks.htm

But the section under burials is blank.  :-\ Some further delving on this site might give you the answer you require.

This mentions burials recorded on Deceased Online up to 1903:
http://www.devon.gov.uk/text/cemetery_registers
But does not say that is when internments ceased.

Alan, I'm not sure if it is the case with the DRO, but some time ago I know of a couple of record offices which would do lookups and email a copy at minimal cost, and some even did lookups for me at no cost.

As you have the date it should be an easy lookup - it might be worth contacting them to ask the question.
