I have a clue :)
« on: Wednesday 18 March 15 16:07 GMT (UK) »
I will link this if needed to other topics on this family.   But thought maybe a clean page would help!

I have found a clue.... ooooo.....
to my vagabond family that is driving me up the wall.

So can anyone help with who was living at an address between a certain period of time!

My family were there in 1864 - then moved away - until 1877 ...
The address is 37 Metcalfe Street Leicester.
After 13 years it seems funny that they can still go back to that address unless --- maybe there is family living there.  ::) ???
So I am hoping (apart from for a miracle :) ) that this may be a relation of my lot in some way shape or form.
So I need to know who was there in 1861 census and 1871 census if poss.  or could someone just advise me how to find this out....

thank you

xin

OKAY  yep yep yep

This ere jig saw is slowly fitting together.

Thank you Jen B...

and everyone on here who has helped and does help...

I went through the census of 1861 that you gave me..................... thinking who the devil are the Felsteads......
flipped back a page ...  and found -----MY family.  So a few doors away from the Felsteads lives the sister of My family that are returning to this address..  So yep yep yep another additional piece of great information. To help me -

It may mean that if I search good and hard into the Felsteads they have a link - or it may just mean they were good friends of my lot.  But it is all proving that John Raven Patrick and Harriet Cobley (nee Patrick) are brother and sister... yeaaaaaa..  :)

Its a long and complicated tale, this one so I wont go into it AGAIN - but thanks so much for help

xin
I'm like a dog with a bone and I will not give up... so there... he he he  ::) ;D ;D

That's what I thought, here's the marriage

Entry No.102,  DEC  2, 1844, after Banns
GEORGE MOORE, full age, bach. FWK, of MILL HILL LANE, s. of JOHN MOORE, BRICKLAYER
EMILY FELSTEAD, full age, sp. of FLEET St, d. of WILLIAM FELSTEAD, WHEEL WRIGHT
Wits: JOHN COOKE,  ELIZA FELSTEAD

So I think this could be Sarah initially

Thurmaston   06-Feb   1825   Banns
John   Whatton    OTP
Sarah    Smith   OTP

and one for ref

St Margaret
Entry No.471,  OCT 28, 1860, after Banns
ALFRED FELSTEAD, 19, bach. SHOE MAKER, of METCALF St, s. of GEORGE FELSTEAD, FWK
KATE REDDALL, 20, sp. of BRUNSWICK St, d. of THOMAS REDDALL, FWK
Wits: JOSEPH ROWE, MARY ROWE
