Looking a bit wider.
On 1851 census there is a Joseph Highfield born Brewood abt 1807, with wife Ann and large number of children living in Sherriff Hales. Also with them is Joseph Yardsley b abt 1794 Sherriff Hales described as uncle. I suspect it's Ann's uncle from birth location.
The oldest child of the clutch was born in 1832, and as Ann is 7 years younger than her husband, she might be second wife, but not seeing obvious large gap in children's ages.

This Joseph could just be right age to be Edward's oldest brother. Joseph is a woodcutter like the Thomas who died in 1843.

FindMyPast has both transcriptions and images of the baptism records for Thomas and Edward, but can't find Elizabeth (1825). There seems to be some gaps in children, maybe some born or baptised elsewhere.

I do actually wonder if the Thomas and Sarah on the 1871 census is Edwards brother and he is a little out on his age?
