It looks like Nora Vincent Paul worked for the National Underwriter, so maybe she connected with Charles through that - http://www.rootschat.com/links/01eze/

A passenger list with Temple's daughter Freda says she was born Putney, England - https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:23X5-N2J

A report of American citizen's death abroad says Temple died in Edinburgh, Scotland on 30 Sep. 1939.  His widow and daughter Freda were in Edinburgh, and daughter Mrs. C.F. Howell was at 19 Columbia Heights, Brooklyn, NY

Marwick was her married name.  If you look on the 2nd page of the passenger list, it mentions her father Temple Scott in New York.

The report of Temple's death was not from there.
