Not sure about cousin-in-law but I had someone listed on a death certificate as his nephew-in-law...the connection was the dead man's wife's brother's daughter's husband...think I'll go lie down after the use of so many apostrophes...

A cousin in law could be either a cousin's spouse or a spouse's cousin!
