« on: Sunday 22 March 15 16:20 GMT (UK) »

Placename in Victoria in 1861 on a Marriage Certificate - marriage in Melbourne, however couple possibly from a country town or Gold diggings area near Bendigo  - the 2nd part is Creek however I am not able to decipher the first word - I have looked at many possibilities in Place names of Victoria without success

Thankyou for any suggestions

To me it looks like it starts with 'Cre' then perhaps 'ss' or 'n' or 'm' or 'w' then 'allen' or 'aller'....or I wonder if what looks like an 'a'' is a crossing out  ??? There is a Cressler Creek in Kansas  ;D
