New info on my Wall family just gives me more questions.

James Wall and Mary Healy had 4 known children.

William Wall c.1861 he married Ellen Maher (parents Biddy St John and Michael Maher). Found a possible match in Urlingford reg 1883, have sent for cert. this man is my husbands GGDad.
After much searching I found some records I believe/hope are correct
I found William and Ellen I think on 1901 census as 'Walle' in Gorteen Upper, Buolick http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1901/Tipperary/Buolick/Gorteen_Upper/1721012/.
 my page gives their family as James, Michael, Thomas and William (gdad 1866-1971), Mary and Bridget and I know William lived around Ballingarry when he was young and Two-Mile Borris after marriage, so the general area is about right?

I found a possibility for Thomas Wall in Blackcommon on Census, http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1911/Tipperary/Buolick/Gorteen_Upper/833849/

Roots ireland has Births/baptisms of 6 children of William Wall (letter carrier) and Ellen Maher in Gurteen from 1883-1893 The names match the 1901 census record you have got.

Tried to find Nellie and from what I can figure out she'd be about 10 in 1901 wouldn't she??

Nellies brother was born about 1861 so I figure she must be adult in 1901.

There is a birth on October 29 1864
in Kilcooly, Tipperary
of a Laurence WALLE
to James WALLE and Mary FitzPATRICK
which may or may not be connected - could James' wife name be incorrect as HEALY?

Yes its possible that it is incorrect. I am also unsure if it says Larry or Harry. It was written in pencil and is a bit faded. Wish I had asked more at the time.

Yet again Thank you Dathai, I just got home from work at 21.00 and am having a great time reading all this great information. I know that could be him on the census, certainly a good candidate but how to know?
Regarding the other link now that is very interesting. He was in the 1st world war. I have not been able to find any records that I was sure were his but maybe he lied about his age. I am not sure about the deserting, he had an army pension and his house was also something to do with the army would he have got those if he deserted. My husbands Aunt also told me her dad joined the Army to avoid going down the mines, he had a medal and he fought in France.

Ballingarry is certainly somewhere my motherin law talked about and there was some history of mining in the family, so looking good me thinks. Cant wait for those wedding certs to arrive. Thanks for your time and effort for me I do appreciate it.

Very interesting myluck thank you. I just took out my presious page to check for faded (its in pencil) writing in case anything written by Larry but nothingthe father and area are right so very distinct possibility.
