Look Up Request: South Australia Birth and/or Death - MITCHELL

Hi

I am looking for either a birth or death of child born between 1905 & 1909, though the date ranges could be later than 1909. I do not know the first name. Surname is Mitchell. My grandmother told me she had an older brother who died young.

Father: Ernest Mitchell
Mother: Daisy Edith Harris

They were married in Adelaide in 1905. Two children that I know that were born in SA (and have their birth certificates) are Lawrence Rex (1909) and Dudley Ernest (1913).

On both Ernest and Daisy Death certificate, (they both died in NSW in 1945 and 1932), it lists that one child is deceased.

I am looking for the name and birth or death of the deceased child.

I have looked at http://www.genealogysa.org.au but without a first name I can't seem to find anything.

Ernest & Daisy moved to NSW in about 1915 where their two other children were born (females) in 1916 and 1918. I have checked the Death Indexes for NSW just in case the child died in NSW but no luck there.

Found a notice for the death of Rodie Ernest Mitchell, aged 6, at the home of his aunt Miss Ash on 4 November 1905. (The Register, Adelaide)

There is no birth and death of a MITCHELL child with father Ernest between 1905 and 1915 on the SA Birth and Death Indexes other than the two births you have posted.

1 in Auburn - Daisy E.
1 in  Kiama - Daisy A.
