« on: Tuesday 24 March 15 11:43 GMT (UK) »
Hi,
Does anyone know of any Catholic Children's Homes that were open around 1920? Possibly Cardiff area.

I knew about Nazareth House but haven't been able to find any others in Cardiff, not in the 1920s anyway.

There's a list of Catholic homes across the UK on the same site... http://www.childrenshomes.org.uk/list/RC.shtml

The Abergavenny Chronicle, 9 Nov 1917 (see "Welshnewspapersonline) carries an article which includes  "... principally for arranging for destitute Catholic boys to be sent to St. Michael's Home, Treforest and destitute Catholic girls to Nazareth House, Cardiff  ...."

Does this imply there wasn't a boy's home in the capital?

I looked at the link and it seemed to be about orphans. The case I'm looking at is one of an abused boy sent by a priest to a home in Cardiff. Any ideas?
