Unknown Golf Course.

Does anyone recognise the location of this golf course. The "Golf Links" are marked on the right.

There is an unusual building (possibly a church) that may help.

Hi Bagiboy,

I do not know where your golf photograph was taken but I have improved the levels a little for you maybe it will be easier to recognise.

Regards

Sarah :)

Wonder if the fact it says "Golf Links" rather than "Golf Course" is a clue? Don't you find more Links in the north of England or in Scotland, also they tend to be near the coast I believe.

That hill in the background looks very much like Leven Links,Fife as in this website?

http://www.leven-links.com/

Funnily enough a friend of mine has just bought a house in it's grounds.

I research golf clubs and courses that have become defunct.

In the later nineteenth and earlier twentieth century many golf clubs, including inland courses were known as "Golf Links"

Must admit the background matches almost perfectly. If anyone can recognise the building in the picture that would tie it up nicely.
