Struggling with 1901 to find the whole family on the transcripts There is, for example, a John McGugan/McGuigan with his brother Patrick and family in Plantation, Govan who would fit the John above, but not with his family.

There is a death showing on SP that might fit for Jane in 1919 (searching as: j*a*n*/m*cg*g*n/jeffrey b. 1866 +/-3yrs).

Think we need to have confirmation of parents from the 1888 marriage or death registrations being discussed. We have possible parents as Robert Jaffrey and Mary Ann Muir (m. 1862 in Irvine) or a William Jeffrey and Elizabeth as chempat showing above.
