1911 census long tower st derry
« on: Monday 30 March 15 16:55 BST (UK) »
Could any of my great friends out there give me some idea how I could find those residing at 78 Long tower st derry in the 1911 census from Londonderry? I have found Long tower St in same census with great help from another Roots Friend but the actual house No 78 In Long tower st is becoming difficult to find. Any tips or help will be very much appreciated.

Hi,
"House No.78" is the enumerator's number and not necessarily the adress number of the house or vice versa. I don't think that there is a way of connecting the two.

Regards
Stewart, Irwin, Morrison, Haslett, Murrell - Dungiven area Co. Londonderry
Browne, Barrett -Co.Armagh
Neil, Smyth _Co. Antrim

It might be worth having a look at the valuation records on the PRONI website at:

http://www.proni.gov.uk/index/search_the_archives/val12b.htm

Book Reference:  VAL/12/B/33/3C  shows a Geo. Burns at number 78 in 1911.  The entry is on page
179 in the top right hand corner of the page.
