Hi there

I wonder if anybody can help im trying to trace a John Malone born 1834 in Cork Ireland. He is down as a Tailor.

All I know is that at sometime he moved to London England as he had a son born 1859 In London.

Im hoping that he got married before he moved to a Maria ? born 1836 in Ireland.

Any help would be great thanks

Ali  ;)

To find records in Cork you'll need to have an idea of the location although even with the exact place (townland) the church records might not survive (and not all records that do still survive are online).

English birth certificate for the son born 1859 will list his mother's maiden name which will at least get you a piece of information which you don't seem to have yet.
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!

There is background information to this family on this thread: http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php?topic=716969.0
the problem is that we can't find a birth of the son to get his mother's maiden name.
