Yes Miriam, I found that one as well and if correct there is a possible marriage of Daniel Carrier and Phoebe Barnett in Himley 1799. Thank You.

Struggling to find him on 1851 - was wondering if Daniel & Pheobe were his grandparents & Sarah his mother ? 1841 doesn't show relationships unfortunately

There is a December 1836 baptism that mentions Sarah Carrier and John Carrier as the people at the baptism. I assumed it meant that the father was called John, but after seeing other baptisms, I now realise that he must have been illegitimate at birth, because there would have been three names listed.

1851 census has John & Mary Hughes still in Gospelend St with Phoebe Carrier aged 23, niece
- suggesting that Mary Hughes's maiden name was Carrier?

I've found the baptism of Sarah Carrier, 3 October 1814, Sedgley. Parents Daniel and Phoebe, so John was illegitimate and Daniel and Phoebe the Grandparents.

There is a baptism for a John Carrier 4 December 1836 Sedgley Saffordshire mother Sarah Carrier this looks to be the one found on the 1841 census ..Sarah Carrier married a James Bennett 1846 Sedgley her father Daniel Carrier

Going backwards there's a possible baptism for a Daniel Carrier at St Peter's Wolverhampton 17/03/1776, parents Daniel & Sarah.
