Just to get a sense of the timeline:

Marriage, June qtr 1906
Hendon district     vol 3a, page 523

Gibson, William Morrison
Forbes, Helen Jane L

WW1, RAMC (Royal Army Medical Corps):
87089 A/L/Cpl Gibson, William Morrison   entitled to British War Medal and Victory Medal

William died age 93, according to FreeBMD. So born c1875.
Helen died age 67. So born c1882.

I see, from the 1911 census, that both were born in Scotland.
So you'll need to look on ScotlandsPeople website for births etc..

I am assuming you want information re their parents, grandparents, etc?

I have a birth year of 1875 for William and I have Helen's details as this is the side I descend from including her siblings and parents etc. William and Helen had a son Harry S. Gibson born in 1911 of whom I know nothing. I was unaware of William's service so that is something new for my research. Thankyou for the information you have provided  :)

Can you tell me please where I need to go to access Williams service record?..Can I do it online from Australia?

Thanks for the info on Henry :) - I suspect the 'S'in his name stands for Steel as 'Henry Steel' is a name carried through the family.

I haven't found a service record; his medal information came from a Regimental Roll (on Ancestry).

Something like 66% of WW1 Service Records were destroyed after a bombing raid in WW2!
Doesn't look like his survived?

Those that did survive are on Ancestry or FindMyPast.

I have a birth year of 1875 for William

I don't have time just now to do a proper search but William was not born 1874 - 1876 (in Scotland) so need to widen the range  ???
