Looking for JOHN TWITE
« on: Wednesday 01 April 15 18:50 BST (UK) »
Hello

I am looking for John Twite who was baptised in 1818 at Grimston a son of Anthony Twite and Elizabeth (late Cooper). There are other spellings of this family's surname.

John had either left home or perhaps died before the 1841 census was taken but nothing is turning up. I am hoping someone can see a record relating to him.

Can I just add so things don't get confusing John had a cousin John born in the adjoining parish of Roydon in 1819. He lived for a time at Grimston and also married there. I already have the census and other records for him.

Hoping someone can help with the Grimston born John. Thank you for reading this.  :)

In 1901 John Thwaite Father-In-Law Married 81, born 1820 Roydon, Norfolk
So I guess this was his cousin who married ELLEN HARRISON in 1844

Regarding your JOHN TWITE the only thing I can find is a death registration in 1857 FREEBRIDGE LYNN, sadly no age?

Thank you Colin for looking for John Twite.  :)

I believe the 1857 death was the father of the cousin John that you found.

Hello Poppy Rose,

Looks as though John Twite died as a baby in 1818.
Here's the burial from the Grimston BT's
John Thwaite, aged 2 months.

His baptism, in case you haven't seen it, appears on page 134
