William Hartill - Burial/Cremation - Manchester?

I am trying to trace where my grandfather was buried or cremated. He died in Jul- Sept 1969 in Levenshulme, Manchester. He was 74, born in 1895 in Windsor, Berkshire. Married to Bertha ( nee Wild).
I have searched manchester City Council cemeteries with no results.

about a 15 minutes drive away

You may need his exact date of death though, I imagine that by the 1960's they would have have many cremations per day

Levenshulme is close to Stockport aswell
