A tree on Ancestry has him married to Mary Seaborne in Whitechapel, London in 1797, and then 6 children, the eldest being Frederick.

On FamilySearch there are a number of people named George Robertson born circa 1765 in Midlothian (which includes Edinburgh) so impossible to know if your George was one of them - and if he was, which one.

However - their second son was called Samuel Seaborne Robertson after Mary Seaborne's father so George may have been using the Scottish naming pattern for his children. If he was, then the first son would have been named for George's father and would therefore be called Frederick. Unfortunately, none of the George's born at the right time in Midlothian had a father named Frederick.
