Edward Richards b 1849 (50) Wolverhampton

Hi.. Im trying to track down the family (not parents, Ive got that bit lol) of an Edward  Richards born I believe, 1849 but could be 50... his parents were a robert richards and a catherine mattox.. im trying to find who he married and his further family.. children etc...
Smith, Tolley, Griffiths,
Monaghan, Richards, Clark, Clarke,
Brazier, Filben, Fibben,Filbin
Sherdon, Churden,Sheldon
Wolverhampton, Staffordshire, Bilston, Kent, London, Middlesex

Are you sure that he married, not just died in infancy?

Have you attempted to track him through the censuses and so have some idea of possible names for wives?

Is he on the 1861/71 censuses with parents?

Have you looked on freebmd/FS for a marriage

This is the only birth showing on free bmd for Wolverhampton from 1847 to 1852, so do you think he was not actually born there?

Births September quarter 1850  Edward   Richards     Wolverhampton    17   394

However there is a choice in the censuses, so are you sure of the parents?

in 1851/61 hes at the parents home...

Ive seen.. but are dubious about.. a possible 1881 result for him being in the army in aldershot and a 1901 .. I think.. for him being married to a Julia.. but Im not sure of if hes My.. edward

Find the marriage to Julia on free bmd and apply for the certificate for confirmation of Father's name.

yes Im sure of the parents.. (hes My great  2 grandfathers brother)

parents are robert richards and catherine mattox

IF - the 1881 is correct - he was unmarried

1891 married to Julia b Ireland

No marriage on freebmd 1881-1891 and eldest child aged 4 b Malta

You would need a copy of son Christophers birth cert to establish Julia's maiden name to search for a marriage
