Leonard Elsdale Trustram (or vaiants on his last name)

Mabel's only child known so far by husband Edward Trustram. My notes on my computer. Social Security Death Index is an index of all of those who apply for a Social Security Number and also have died. The applicant (now today parents of the child for the ones born in the US) gives the information. Some one else has to give this information after the death. Some one made a mistake.

1900: Birth. 10 July 1900, US Social Security Death Index. 1900 year published in Armorial Families by  Arthur Charles Fox-Davies who also states Leonard is Gentleman, M.A. Cantab.
1911: Boarder at Durnford School,  Langton Matravers, Swanage Dorset, 1911 Census.
1969: Death reported on US Social Security Death Index as 15 December 1969, Albuquerque, Bernalilo, New Mexico but his obituary published  in Albuquerque Journal, New Mexico, USA, 2 December 1969 as Leonard E. Tristram. The obituary does not give date of death so estimated either December 1 1969 or late November of that year.

They all seem to be him. He was a hive of activity. If it balloons its him. Number 2 article was written at the time that Mrs. (Alice) Esdale was in the first stages of pregnancy (or not quite there yet)  with her future daughter Mabel.

Thank you Wilcoxon. The Dublin part of Ireland seems not to have their civil marriage certificates on the Internet yet for that year so could not find the marriage there.

Hi

I've just found this marriage record (parish record)

Marriage 20th October 1875 Taney Dublin (C of I)

Henry Elsdale of United Service Club-occupation servant age- full. Father Robinson Elsdale - occupation surgeon.
Alice Stirling of Ballawly-age full. Father(Stirling)James Stirling-occupation gentleman.

Witness 1 Jas Stirling  Witness 2 Emitt Wood

Unfortunately the record has not yet been imaged.

Here's the link - just search for Elsdale in Dublin

http://churchrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/

Here's the link to the index for the civil registration for the marriage -

Hi again

I think Alice's baptism (1851) is on the same site also her sisters and brother(19 Fitzwilliam Place).

Just search for Stirling in Dublin - you should be able see the original record if you click on 'view the church register page containing the record'

Also possibly the marriage of her father James.

Hope this helps
