George Frederick Evans, b 1884 Burslem
« on: Thursday 09 April 15 12:10 BST (UK) »
1911 census has him George Fredrick Evans, 27 in Middlesbrough, a police constable married with one son.   His wife is Sarah Josephine Weastell b Middlesbrough.

I can't get any further back with George.
He is not the one who is a potters holloware presser in Hanley, son of George and Sarah, as he is with his widowed mother in 1911.

Just seeing if anyone can pick him up before I have to get the marriage cert.  This is for a friend so worth asking on here.  Here's hoping ............

I'm finding it very hard to use findmypast.   Can't see where to put in the reference for this.   Are you using ancestry?

Gottit.   At last.  Looks promising, names are used in the later post 1911 family, Ethel, George, Harry.   Think I'll have to get to library to use ancestry.  Unless I can fathom out FindMyPast.
