Further to George Patchett.

27th August 1934 Northern Miner newspaper article mentions that Mr G Patchett claims that he had been born at Charters Towers 57 years earlier on the site now occupied by the District Hospital and his wife was also a native of Charters Towers but one year younger.

This would give a birth year for G (probably George) Pratchett of about 1877 at Charters Towers.

This may have been posted or you might already have it.

A brief article about Charles Pratchett in the North Queensland Register Monday, 5th December 1904 page 30s.

It starts "a very old resident passed away yesterday etc.

They went to Natal in South Africa first then came to Queensland in 1864, worked the Gympie goldfields etc.

With the snippet of information that the Pratchetts went to Natal brfore coming to Queensland in 1864 it was likely that Emma and Susannah were born in Natal and not England.  The miners right for the Gympie Gold Fields in the 1870s for Charles adds up.

Coming from Natal to Queensland it was likely that they paid their own way and shipping records might not exist.

Further to the burials in Charters Towers, you might find headstones and if so they might have where the persons were born if your lucky.

I have many of my lot buried at CT and most have headstones back to 1900 but the online data base indicates that they don't for some reason so if there was a Charters Towers Rootschatter available to check it might prove something,
