McWilliams
« on: Friday 10 April 15 12:16 BST (UK) »
I started my Maternal family again. I got to James McWilliams and it says that his father is John McWilliams. Problem is he moved from somewhere so I don't actually know where James is from to tie down his parents, the marriage certificate does not say who James mother is.

James M Rose Curran in 1902.  Apparently James was born in 1878.

This may be a possibility, 1901 census, I know this James looks too young but if his wife was 3 or 4 years older than him it was not unusual to narrow the gap to make their ages look more compatible, especially when the male was younger, he still would have been full age (21) at time of marriage. The James from this record was born in 1882 registered Draperstown RD

You didn't state his fathers occupation from marriage cert, would help if he was a shoemaker!
