1871 Census father Stephen BASHAM is a journeyman printer and in 1881 a County court bailiff.

Lewis and Stephen BASHAM, English and occupation clerks on the passenger list.

He is on the electoral roll living at Cobden prior to his death and if he is buried at Cobden cemetery there is no headstone.

Goodness me, that is quite a lot to take in! And it has certainly turned everything on its head, so to speak. How on earth did you know to look at the Basham family? There are so many coincidences, and the third son born to Stephen and Susannah Ward was named Louis Herbert Ward (1899-1970)!
