Found this:

CLARK HELEN WILKINS reg 1896, Kirkcaldy and Abbotshall on SP

Which makes me think this is my David Clark

CLARK DAVID reg 1894 Buckhaven <-------

Buckhaven would be closest to Leven/Scoonie?Very hard to pick from the death certificate and census stating Wemyss! I did think he was born in Dysart originally as I believe a family home was there.

Need to save my pennies now as it will cost $20 NZD to see that certificate.

I have seen his marriage certificate though.

Wemyss/Crombie/Laing/Blyth (West Wemyss)
Givens/Normand (Dysart)
Clark/Lister (Dysart)
Wilkinson/Simson (Kettle or Kettlehill)

"One of these people was Annie Ireland Clark who seems to have been born c.1900 and got married to a James Falconer in 1928 in Lochgelly.  This certificate also shows that her father was deceased at this point.  The certificate also states that she was a widow and her previous married name was Laurie, however, I can't find a marriage for those names."

When Annie Ireland died she was registered with only 2 surnames, Clark & Falconer.

I didn't find a marriage (in Scotland) to a Laurie in any variant but the death would suggest it was then known she'd not been married prior or the informant didn't know this had been stated on her marriage to James Falconer?

I think it may suggest she had an illegitimate child i.e. claimed to have been married although I don't know, it's just a thought as I can't think of any other reason to say one was a widow if it wasn't the case?

Thankyou so much Annie, I have pm'ed you.

Yes, shows you how confusing boundaries are when you don't live in an area, we would never had guessed from Dysart, Wemyss, Scoonie, Leven, and Ediburgh

That Laurie surname, looked unreadable on one document I saw at SP, my guess is you could be right and there is a Laurie offspring somewhere

The tree I have seen has Annie Clark 1900 -1976 married twice first to
William Henry Lorimer ca 1899 married on May 4,1918 Dysart, Fife
Then to James Falconer ca 1896 married 29 June, 1928Lumphinnans, Fife

I know Jessie’s address at the time of her death if that helps. I am new and unsure of the protocol for posting information.

I think I saw Jessie Clarks address when she passed on Scotlandspeople, so I don't need to see that, I think.

"William Henry Lorimer ca 1899 married on May 4,1918 Dysart, Fife" I have seen this it is from Kathy's tree, I must see if it matches a death certificate on Scotlandspeople.

I'm thinking William Henry Lorrimer (NB his mother was a Laurie) died in 1927 at Ecclesmachan which is on the opposite side of the Firth of Forth (for people like me who have no idea where) then Annie Ireland Clark married James Falconer in 1928.

Lumphinnans is in/near Lochgelly in Fife, this is where she married James Falconer.

This man "James Nisbet Clark Falconer" of Buckhaven may have been her/their son!
