I had to laugh at the detail you went in to about where and how to get there,  :) I did not think to mention I live in Lincoln and park in that multi - story everyday for work. ::)

There is a free car park for Archive visitors around the back, go past the the Premier Inn, past the archives and take the 1st left, 50 yards and turn left into the car park. You will need to obtain the exit code for the day from reception on the way out.

First class bunch of people at the Lincoln Archives, very helpful & knowledgeable. Explain why you are there and they will help.

If you e-mail them before you go explaining what you are after, they may help you to pre-order items. It can also get busy so you may need to book a reader and/or a table.

As I wrote in any earlier thread "Whistling is frowned upon and the eating of jam doughnuts is discouraged."

But that was 9 years ago, perhaps they are not as strict these days. :D

If you are a Lincolnshire sausage fan, then ask Rob (one of the wonderful staff there) for his thoughts on which butcher makes the best.

I like the ones from the butcher near the castle :)
