Lazonby Brandon and Byshottles
« on: Friday 17 April 15 00:36 BST (UK) »
I am trying to find out a little bit about Charles Watson Lazonby - born Chapel le Street 1988 and lived in Brandon and Byshottles in 1901. I know he fought in WW1 and was I believe 2/lieutenant in the Hussars but this may be incorrect. I would like to know if he survived the war and if he did when did he die. Guess he returned to Durham after the war.

I think this is his medal card, since there is only one man with his name and this man was in the hussars

I purchased one for my gr grandfather and it told me his first theatre of war and what medals he was entitled too which was good because people tried telling me since he was in a reserve battalion that he never faced combat (infact he did).

He is also mentioned on this role at Durham university as having survived the war
