McLaren-Ture
« on: Tuesday 21 April 15 16:19 BST (UK) »
I am looking for information on the McLAREN family from Ture Township in County Donegal. Robert McLAREN(1774-1837)emigrated to Saint John,New Brunswick,Canada in the 1820s with his four children Robert,Hugh,John(md.Elizabeth Jane KNOX of Kilkeel,County Down)and Jane Eliza(b.1821 and married Elizabeth's brother,William KNOX in 1838). Robert's wife's name was Elizabeth but I cannot find information on her last name or where she died. It's possible she died in Ireland as the burial records for Cedar Hill Cemetery, where Robert is buried,do not list her.

I am sure it is Ture, that's how I've seen it spelled;one source is the book containing the Cedar Hill Cemetery transcriptions. I'll take a look around the site and see if I can find anything.
