Local knowledge around Strathaven needed

In the 1694 Hearth Tax, and the 1683 list of covenanters, there is a place given as ‘Udtounhead’ – any ides where this might be in relation to Strathaven?
Also ‘Alburn’? A lot of people are listed as living here in the hearth Tax records – so it looks like it should be the town.
West and East Newtown have separate entries.
