Hello,
Attempting to find when Thomas BREW was born and died and who was John Edward BREW?

Info I know:

Thomas BREW and Mary Ellen nee Ziebell married 20 Apr 1891 at Kojonup Western Australia reg.
# 64 Thomas Brew to Mary Ellen BELL (sic)

Their children:
Edward John, Julia Mary Ann & Robert Henry
- Edward John BREW born 28 Sept 1895 at Sugar Loaf Creek, Seymour birth certificate shows his
father, 33 years, a labourer, born Cloves Forest, Kyneton, Victoria but search of VIC BDM 1855-1865 no Thomas Brew's come up.
mother Mary Ellen nee Ziebell aged 22 (her birth registered 1873 #15012 Campbellfield VIC

- They had two other children, Julia Mary Ann; birth reg. 1894 #6907 Shepparton VIC and Robert Henry birth reg. 1898 #6439 Seymour VIC

- Edward died 1958 and Robert in 1949 both NSW reg. show father's name as THOMAS. 
Their sister married a Joseph DIMOND 1914 but have not yet found a death reg. for her.

- Mary Ellen BREW nee Ziebell died 1928, aged 57, burial Rookwood, Catholic Section. Funeral notice SMH 2 July shows wife of 'J. BREW, mother and grandmother', from their residence ANZAC Cottage, Chisholm Rd. Auburn

- A John Edward BREW died in 1938, aged 66, burial same plot Rookwood as Mary Ellen.  Also from above address but no mention of children etc., on death and funeral notice SMH 23 Aug.

John E BREW who died in 1938 shows parents as John Edward and Mary Ann but whoever completed details on death certificate, may have 'guessed' at his parents names.

Do not know when Thomas Brew born or died.

Looking at Electoral rolls:
1903 at Hannah St, Benalla - no street number given so they may not be living in the same house.
Thomas BREW, labourer
Mary Ellen BREW, hd
John BREW, labourer

This is the only Victorian electoral roll for a Mary Ellen BREW.  In 1919 there is a Thomas BREW, labourer, with Mary Ann BREW, hd, in Wangaratta, and this couple are in Wangaratta for quite a few years.
