Census Lookup request - Shakespeare PARTRIDGE - Oxford, Ontario 1850's

In 1834 my 3 x g/grandfather was transported to Australia from Scarning, Norfolk for stealing a horse. Thanks to the generosity of other Rootschatters I have now a possible father for him being Shakespeare PARTRIDGE of Scarning, Norfolk, born about 1778.

I have found Shakespeare on board the Poor ship ""Ellen" in 1847 enroute to Montreal listed a  labourer. I am told that he is recorded in the 1851 Census for Canada as living with his son Fletcher PARTRIDGE in 1851in Oxford, Ontario?

Being my very first link with Canada I am unfamiliar with what information is available and hoping for some assistance in obtaining the particular census details as mentioned above or possible death post 1851.

There is no Fletcher partridge on the same page but there is one living in the same town
Fletcher Partridge, farmer, age 46  born Norfolk and his wife Mary, 45 born Norfolk.
Then on a separate page there are John P, 21 born Norfolk, ,Frederick 17 Norfolk ,
James? 15 Dumfries Canada West, Elizabeth 13  Blenheim, Fletcher Partridge age 11 Blenheim, Maria 9 Blenheim, Mary E 6 Blenheim, Willey(?) 5 Blenheim , William(?) 4 Blenheim .

Hi,

You can search Canadian census' for free from Library and Archives Canada with the
exception of 1921. On the left side, select the year you wish, add the name and province.
It doesn't allow you to flip through pages, so a broad search "Partridge and Canada West (Ontario)", click on Advanced Search and in the sub-district add Blenheim, this will give you
all the pages for 1851 for them in Blenheim.

Shakespeare won't appear as he has been transcribed as Shakerpen Parbridge.

I am not finding Shakespeare in the 1861 census or in Ontario Canada deaths 1869-1938.

Hi,

There is a death for Fletcher Partridge in Blenheim, Oxford, Ontario Feb. 16, 1883
age 78, b. England, farmer, cause of death old age.

His name is listed in the Plattsville Cemetery, Blenheim

There is a death for Mary Ann Partridge in Blenheim, Ontario December 13, 1881
age 74, b. Norfolk, England, farmers wife, cause of death decline two years
informant was Fletcher Partridge, farmer, Blenheim.
