Rotunda Hospital Midwives
« on: Saturday 25 April 15 10:57 BST (UK) »
I've lost my old account, which is a bit of a pain. Nevermind!

In a bag of my grandads bits and bobs (he's been gone many years now) I've found a Midwives badge from Rotunda. How and why he had it is a mystery, I was wondering if theres an archive of midwife numbers so I could find out if it was a family member or just another random thing he got in trade for a job doing?

A friend pointed me at the Irish Nurses website. I've found it belonged to a lady called Sylvia Voss, she qualified after 1916 but that's all I can find, she doesn't seem to be anywhere, no marriage record, death records, anything I can easily find unless its buried inside some military records. There's a Sylvia Voss in the RAF in 1918, but not the WRAF, which could explain the connection to my grandfather but it could be another one altogether!
