given that Thomas Furlong and Mary Anne Reilly married 25th April 1883 they would have to be at least 20 yrs old or possibly younger or older however that pushes their births back to about 1863 or earlier.
noticed a few Furlong's as sponsors on baptisms possibly siblings of Thomas they were Maria and Emily.
Emily Furlong not a very common name on Irish Genealogy
There is a burial recorded in Glasnevin 1892 for a 61 yr old Emily Furlong she is not registered on the civil index.
it could even be his mother.

edit later
entered Buckingham Street into address box for Emily's burial and it still registers.

Its not a great name , Thomas Henry Furlong also named one of his daughters after his mother , its a very unusual name for Ireland . I think your right though about the buried Emily I think it has to be his Mother , I have been trying to trace his parents on the 1901 census but looks like they had departed by then .

I found Albert and Leo on the prison register 1916 and 1923 at 32 Gt Charles St
I entered Great Charle Street address on the Glasnevin index for the death of Thomas Furlong 1929 and it registers.
Leo married Christina Brennan in Belfast ?

Yes Dathai he did marry Christina Brennan. I had thought of looking on ancestry for any other info but have been away for a few days so didn't get round to it . Wow wonder what they did or if it was connected to the IRA as their brother John/Jack Furlong was also involved and was indeed friends with Michael Collins. Peadar Kearney was John/Jack Furlongs brother in law when he was married to Kathleen Kearney, the marriage lasted 3 years and they had two sons but he died from flu during the epidemic of 1918. She later married Stephen Behan, their sons to become Brenan Behan and Dominic Behan.

Did you find this out from ancestry site ?

Hello Carol!
I am also a direct Descendant of Leo Aloysius Furlong. He was my Grandad. I don't think I have got any further back than you have so far. However i have found the process fascinating. You have probably seen these two books but if not then they do have some interesting references in them to the family.
Mother of all the Behans, by Brian Behan.
Brendan Behan A life, by Michael o Sullivan.
The second one the text is searchable on google.
I would be interested to know how you are related to Leo.

All The best

Mark
