headstone photo located trying to establish why/who/where!

I've come across a photo of a headstone amongst family photos but have no idea if or how it's connected or even where it is located.

The headstone reads
Charles Edward Gooch
died at Kolendo
24th Nov 1909 aged 43 years.

Suggestions?

 shows a birth in 1866 for a Charles Edward Gooch, parents Douglas Gooch and Mary London/Loudon.  Perhaps the latter's family is your connection?
