I don't know if you've found it by now, but we found it by accident today. It's at 56°10'20.7"N 3°36'13.8"W and can be seen on aerial views as a little whitish square in a small clearing. It would have been built to have views across the valley but you can't really see for the trees now.

We had climbed up from Cauldron Linn and crossed the river at the weir at the top of the waterfall. There must be an easier way to get to it as the paths are quite well worn, you should be able to work something out from the location I gave. It's overlooked by Blairhill/Braehead farmhouse (OS and Google give different names).
