Where did you get the info. she was definitely born in S/A?

Is Eastern Cape in Cape Town/part of Cape Town (I have no geography on S/A)?

The John I found was b 1852 so that family I found in 1861 can be ruled out.

No I do not have her birth certificate.

Aberdeen is on the side were you find Port Elizabeth. From Port Elizabeth to about 10 o'clock (left) inland on the map you should find Aberdeen and Graaff-Reinet they are not far from each other.

Her son Alexander Ross Daniel van Wyk registered her death.

Her granddaughter and her death notice states that she was born in South Africa.

I have looked at ever other piece of paper I have to do with Agnes. But there is nothing about her birth or parents and siblings. It is as if she had forgotten about them after she married. Even her husbands Estate papers there is no mention of her birth or parents.

But then again if they followed the traditional way of naming their children
Would her second son Alexander Ross Daniel be named after her father?

And her first born daughter Anna Maria named after her mother?
