I am researching my paternal grandfather William John Jones, born 13-3-1901 in  Pen Pelyn, Nebo, Dyffryn Nantlle, Caernarvonshire, Gwynedd & died 2-6-1975 in  Cefn Coed farm, Llanddeiniolen, Caernarvonshire.

His Parents were William Jones and Elizabeth Orrit. Elizabeth came from Cwm y Glo, Caernarfon.

My taid was one of 6 children, they were named
Owen Jones
Arfon Wyn Jones
Elizabeth (Bessie) Jones
Margaret Jones
Richard Jones

When did William and Elizabeth marry, please?

I doubt that Owen was their son if this is the right 1901 entry

1901 for Caernarvon - all b Treflys

Mary 32 - visitor
Owen 14 shown as son but suspect he is Mary's son
William 1wk - son - if William was b 13th March - he would have been just over 2wks old when the 1901 was taken

They are 1911 details - not 1901

Are you sure you have the right maiden name for Elizabeth?  Neither the 1881 or 1891 census has an entry for her and there is no birth registration for her

Perhaps a copy of one of the childrens birth certs could clarify it

There is no Jones/Orrit marriage

How did I manage that, when I was trying to work back to just before his birth, for a John and Elizabeth when it looked like Owen and Elizabeth.

I thought the surname Orrit was from a birth certificate, as nothing else showing.

Have removed 1911 detail, but the ages and children are from 1901 census, to try to fit the children named.

1911 details have not been removed - Arfon Wyn Jones - not Arron -was born in 1910 as per my reply above.  You have seen the number of years married so how can the other children be born before 1901?

Richard Thomas - not Pritchard was born in 1902
