The family I have proposed is different to the family that you have proposed.

I have suggested Arron for Arfon, Pritchard for Richard, etc etc

Also looked for an Elizabeth from Cwm y Glo.

For those with ancestry access, the family is also being searched for on their message boards.  The surname information on Orrit/Oritt is from a relative.

So a birth certificate would be useful.

I do not have the marriage cert for Elizabeth Orrit i'm sorry. Her surname could be spelt Orit / Oritt . There was no Aaron in the family.

Have removed 1911 detail, but the ages and children are from 1901 census, to try to fit the children named.

I really don't know how many times I have to say this but here goes:

ALL of the details you say are from the 1901 census are from the 1911 census.  Please lookup the children you have shown on freebmd (as I did)  and apart from William John (the main subject of the post) they were ALL born from 1902 -1910

It is therefore impossible for them to appear on the 1901 census

Arron is ARFON as per the original post and as stated in my earlier reply - he was born in 1910

Moderator comment - 1911 Census details removed.

You need the birth certificate of William, or the marriage certificate of his parents, to find out more about your family.

Have you identified either on free bmd?

There are some Orritts in the area - could just be some confusion with other family members? Oral history does get mixed up.

They stem from a Lancashire family who then move to the Llangollen area. One son Henry marries an Ellen Parry in the Festiniog district in 1899. She's from Llanrug.

I believe the Orritts originally came from Lancashire and there are also Orritts in Llanrug who are family I believe.
