Hi Omega - some possibilities from FindMyPast parish transcriptions?
baptism transcriptions for:
26th June 1716, Haverfordwest, St Mary, of Roger, son of Peter Nicholls
2nd December 1717, Haverfordwest, St Mary, of Peter, son of Peter and Catherine Nicholls
9th July 1725, Haverfordwest, St Mary, of Catherine, daughter of Peter Nicholls

marriage transcription
PETER NICHOLS married Catherine Phillips on 31 Jan 1713, in Prendergast
Bride's parish Hartford West
Groom's parish Hartford West

burial
Peter Nichols, Haverfordwest, St Mary, 6th August 1763
There is also an earlier burial of Peter Nicholls son of Peter Nicholls in 1734

Edit update Have just found the burial of a Catharine Nichols wife of Peter Nichols, Haverfordwest, St Mary  on 10th October 1740 - so above info probably different family  ???
But will leave the post as could be useful in future

Hello Mar

Thank you for looking for me.The " Nicholls" you found are bit too early but could be part of FT,something to keep on back burner :).

I keep looking NLW hoping to find a Will left by Mr Nicholl but no luck yet.

Does the Will you have mention children of the couple? If so can you work back from them looking for christenings etc with a mother Catherine and a father 'X'?

Forgive me if I am just being thick .....

but with Lewis Edward the son in law - is Edward his first name and Lewis his surname or vice versa?
I ask because I see there are grandchildren with surname Lewis (Wm and John) so that implies a daughter married a Mr Lewis, and I wondered if Edward Lewis was that son in law (ie father of William and John) OR if Mr Nicholls had had two daughters, one marrying a Mr Lewis and having Wm and John and the other marrying Lewis Edward!

If they were still using patronymic then would not Lewis Edwards children be John Lewis and William Lewis.
