I am looking for some information on a Frank Etherington bn? mrd Hilda Thompson bn 1901 Scarborough, N. Yks. They married in 1931 at York.
I can't seem to find Frank or his family.

Are you after Franks parents and possible siblings or his family with Hilda.

His marriage certificate would help with his fathers name/occupation and Franks occupation and possibly his age.

If you use FreeBMD and search Births, using Etherington as the surname, with mother's maiden name as Thompson, there are three entries between 1931-1940 - one in Yorkshire, and two in southern England.

Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.
Remember - "They'll be found when they want to be found" !!!

As there is not an obvious birth or death for Frank, you need to get the marriage certificate for information about him.

Added:
As there are quite a few Etherington/Thompson marriages around the country, I think any birth in those names cannot definitely be assigned.

If she was born and died in Scarborough, and married in York, then they could have moved away from Yorkshire and then returned - how did you get back to this family?

I see another message board post gives Hilda's mother as Ada Thompson - those 2 are together in 1911 but cannot transcribed here. Her mother Ada Thompson never married Hilda's father.
