Hi everyone,

Wow thanks for your responses! Thomas married Anne White in Lambeth Surrey in February 1821 I do have the entry in the parish register - there's no father's name. I have tried there but no luck on the Tylers. The Benjamin Tyler you found in Maidstone Kent did come from Greenwich, I suspect, but I have no evidence that there is any family connection there except the shared occupation. There is a third Tyler who was a chimney sweep living in Greenwich John Tyler, who I think may be Thomas's brother as in the 1841 census (after Thomas's death) two of Thomas's son's seem to be living with John. I have tried searching for a Tyler family with John and Thomas as sons and there are many, when I add the name Benjamin, there are none!  The Thomas Tyler b 1822 is Thomas's first son. Thanks for finding him in 1861, I had not found that :-) In answer to your question I have made some earlier posts about the Tylers in Greenwich the first was in 2009 - and I'm still trying to find Thomas's birth place!! - This is such an addictive hobby! :-)
Oooh and I have just seen your new post Keyboard86, Yes Ann and Hannah, I am guessing she's the same person as she seems to alternate between the two - unless Thomas had two wives at the same time ??? :-)
Thanks again for your help

Fran

Hi Jennifer

My most humble apologies I did not see you had posted your question! For some reason I did not get a notification saying there was a new reply, or if I did I didn't have my glasses on - sorry again. >:(

In response, no I don't have him in later censuses. If you still have the info I would be really grateful to have it.

Fran
