You can search here - limit results to show only 'arrivals'.

Most are for a ship's master McKenzie, given name not recorded, in the 1840s-50s.
Also a Jane McKenzie who arrived in 1827.

It is possible the McKenzie arrival of a CAPTAIN McKENZIE was of an officer in the ARMY not a ships captain. He could have brought his family with him.

Courtesy of the "Ships List" this except shows officers arriving Sydney from Launceston.

March 23rd 1844 The SHAMROCK.

"with sundries. Passengers-Mr Walker, Mr Kiddle, Mr Olifant, Mr Carfrae, Mr Holdsworth, Mr RH Brown, Mr Campbell, Major Wentworth, Capt Mackenzie, Capt Moriarty, Mr J Boyd, Mr and Mrs C Boyd, Mrs Campbell, Dr Robinson, Messrs Kennedy, Ximenes, Crispin, Lloyd, Cornwall, Cubbard, Thomson, Wood, Damen, Mrs Smth and Mrs Purcell."

Its possible Neil, one other thing i know is there was a John Mckenzie  that arrived in to hobart around 1830-1840(old enough to be kenneths father) that lived in the same street as my gg grandfather(kenneths only son) john and Kenneths wife Ann(Nora). But i cant find a connection
