Information on family of Raymond Steele Eaton? Can't find birth

I'm stumped on how to take him backwards. Records have his birth at about 12/4/1811 but it's listed in different records as Scotland, Canada, and NY. He dies in Michigan in 1873. He was married to Esther Adams 1814-1903. I've found different people listing different mothers for him, either Carolina or Sarah Burns, and most people seem to list his father as Abiathar. But unfortunately I've found no records that actually help figure it out. I don't want to add a name unless I can find some record that would prove it. Any ideas?

Your best bet may be to find out when Abiathar died and try to find a will which might mention children's names.  Have you tried Googling his and/or Raymond's names?

If you got a copy of his death certificate would that not give you his parent's names not sure what information will be on it ...As you said most trees have his father as Abiathor mother Caroline Ray Steele

Abiathar Eaton born 10/19/1761 Reading, Middlesex Co. MA - Son of Aaron Eaton - had a twin Abijah Eaton.

Abiathar Eaton married Caroline Ray Steel on 11 Dec 1809 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada.

Esther Cora ADAMS was born on 11 July 1814 in NY. She married Raymond Steel Eaton on 31 March 1834 in Utica, Oneida Co., NY.
((Would the marriage certificate list the parents?))

Raymond Steel Eaton b. 12/1/1811 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada
d. 3/17/1873in Oak, St. Joseph, Michigan.

Brothers R.D. Eaton 1801, Samual 1807

Statewide registration of marriages in New York did not start until much later - 1880

Birth registration was not required in Canada - In order to find a record of birth during this time period (1811) other resources such as Church Records, Cemetery Records, Court Records, and even Miscellany Records need to be searched.

Seems to me that Canadian records need to be checked for the marriage of his parents and his birth

Saskatchewan is a young province, its records are limited. Therefore, the existence of old birth, marriage and death registrations are not very likely.
The two most common repositories for these records would be church archives and the Saskatchewan Vital Statistics branch of Information Services Corporation of Saskatchewan.
You must request records from the appropriate church first. The church then requests a copy of the entry in the register from the Archives and it is then forwarded to you.  The chances of finding a birth or marriage in Saskatchewan would be remote.

One of those anc trees gives - Abiathor Eaton passed away 8 August 1850 in  Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada and Caroline Ray Streel 4 August 1852 in  Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
